Dr. Zachary Watters is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, community-focused care. A Memphis native, he earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in 2022 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UMMC in 2025. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mississippi College.
Dr. Watters is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), and has successfully completed all three steps of the USMLE. He is a recipient of the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship and the Spirit of Medicine Award, recognizing his commitment to rural healthcare, patient advocacy, and compassionate care.
His extensive service includes leadership at the Jackson Free Clinic, COVID-19 vaccine administration, and educational outreach through programs like Tar Wars and the Mississippi Rural Physicians Program. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and has held leadership and tutoring roles throughout his academic career.
Dr. Watters sees patients at Cleveland Medical Clinic and serves as a hospitalist at Bolivar Medical Center.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Watters enjoys traveling, playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with his wife.
